Trame

An immersive training program that bridges local youth, public spaces, and the regional manufacturing ecosystem.

TRAME is a hands-on training program blending artistic, technical, and social education in fashion. Through workshops, industry collaborations, and public storytelling, it empowers young people by fostering creativity, teamwork, and career exploration. By merging craftsmanship, education, and inclusion, TRAME builds skills, confidence, and community connections for a sustainable future.

Partners:
The TRAME project was developed in partnership with the Municipality of Milan (Directorate for Youth Promotion and School-to-Work Transition), in collaboration with Fondazione di Comunità di Milano, and funded by Progetto Scuola Futura, Next Generation EU. Supported by industry partners including Fondazione Sozzani, The Blink Fish, De Ca Stamp, Gruppocinque, Costumeria Lariulà, NABA – Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, Tank Agency, Lessico Familiare, Oratorio Santa Maria Bianca, Pianoroll, Noloso, and Tipografia AltroStampo.

Objective:
The overarching goal of the TRAME project is to prevent school dropout and address the NEET phenomenon while promoting artisanal and creative skills in fashion. The project aims at fostering creativity, teamwork, and practical learning, offering young people structured training and personal growth opportunities.

Methodology:
Technical Training: 160 hours of workshops on styling, textiles, garment making, and visual communication, led by industry professionals.
Creative Exploration: Participants co-created a collective magazine, published as public street posters, documenting their learning process in an engaging and artistic way.
Inclusive Approach: Free workshops targeting youth facing educational challenges, limited opportunities, or uncertainty in transitioning to the workforce.

Key Results:
Over 50 participants (ages 14–18) engaged through schools and social organizations.
A unique blend of technical training and creative expression, culminating in a final public event at Cinema Casoretto, where participants presented their work and installations.
Strengthened connections between young people, local communities, and industry professionals.
